What to do in the surroundings of the river Deûle?


At 7 kms north from Lille and 10 kms from the Belgian border, Wambrechies is located on the brink of the river Deûle.

The city is a center for tourism with its museum, its heritage, its hikes, its harbor...

Gathering the nine municipalities along the Deûle, the Tourist Office Val Deûle welcomes you and informs you of all the activities to discover or rediscover the territory.


The museum of Dolls and Old Toys



Sailors, be ready for a trip wich takes place at the time of your ancestors.

With a mix of fairies and sweet nostalgia, this museum is unique opportunity for you to delve into a rich and original collection within the framework of the exceptional Chateau de Robersart le you be guided by the charm of fine porcelain dolls and return to the past, from the late 19th century to the very sixty atmosphere of the first Barbie dolls.

Drive on the road followed by electric trains and Citroën cars and enter a new war with old soldier toys threatened by the Air Force and the big boats.

On the agenda: a tour of the different exhibitions, some plays with typical Flemish games and some animations during school holidays.

Open from 2pm to 6pm on Sunday, Wednesday and during holidays (except Christmas Day and the Day of the year) and every day during school holidays except n July and August. Guided tours by appointment and for groups with a minimum of 15 people.

The tourist tram


The Amitram society offers an amazing trip along the river Deûle aboard a tourist tram classified a historic heritage dating from the beginning of the 20th century.

Open from April 1st to September 30th on Sunday afternoon and on public holidays from 2.30pm to 6pm. Departures every 30 minutes from Wambrechies “Vent de Bise” or from Marquette “rue de la Deûle ».
6€ per adult and 2€ per children (4-12 yo).

The Claeyssens' Distillery


The distillery is one of the last in the northern region and is listed as historic building since 1999. The distillery produces juniper alcohol since 1817. The tour goes through all stages of the production and ends with a tasting. You will also find a shop at the end of the tour.
6.50€ per adult and 6€ per groups more 25 people.

Booking from Monday to Friday (72 hours prior to the tour) and on weekend times (a week prior to the tour).

The Colysée and its gardens


The Colysée is located on a prestigious and green field close to the bank of the river Deûle, at the border between Lille and Lambersart.
Dedicated to culture, nature and tourism, the Colysée offers a wide range of activities and is open to everyone. You will discover lots of exhibitions with various topics like sculpture, painting, architecture, as well as interactive events for a younger audience or exhibitions about foreign lands like Guyana.

Workshops or entertaining programs take place regularly.
Open from Wednesday to Saturday from 1.30pm to 6.30pm and Sunday from 1pm to 7pm
